Yam Cha as breakfast, that is a kind of Cantonese traditional. However, because there are not many Chinese in Brisbane. The market is not big enough, so as far as I know, there is no restaurant offers Yam cha before 11am.
Recently, the situation is changed. Last Wednesday, after I did a tour of the pre-prep school for my daughter. We went to Sunnybank plaza for breakfast around 9.30am. I found Landmark restaurant has already opened for business. They opened weekdays from 8 am to 11am and serving breakfast. Moreover, if you pay your bills before 11am, They won’t charge for tea. It saves you a few dollars per person. Besides, there is a breakfast combo deal from 8am to 10.30pm, that included a bowl of congee and Steamed Vermicelli Roll or Boa for $9.8. That is value for money. On that, we had two combo deals, including two bowls of chicken congee, Steamed Vermicelli Roll, BBQ Bao,

and extra dim sim. That cost only $24.90. We finished that after 11pm, I was so full, I only had a few pieces of biscuit as my lunch.

Last Friday, I went to Carindale for picking up a work computer. After the pickup, I had lunch in there. This times, I tried a ramen restaurant, Shinobi Ramen. I read their reviews online, and they are very positive. Thus, I chose to have my lunch there. I arrived there before noon. That was not too crowded, but there were already a few people sitting in. Then I ordered Tonkotsu Ramen for $13.90. That is a bit expensive. Other Ramen places only cost around $12 with a free extra noodle, but I don’t think this restaurant offers this.
After the wait for 10 minutes, my ramen arrived. There are a few ingredients including Chashu, Japanese Spring Onion, Marinated Sliced Egg, Nori, and Kikurage. That is not too small portion. The most important is the taste. It tasted very good. The soup is very good, I just drank them all. In addition, their noodle is very fresh! I love it. However, the portion can be bigger for this price, then it will be more reasonable!

Besides, the restaurant looks nice and clean! I had a comfortable lunch!
If I go to Westfield Carindale, I will have this ramen again!

There is a “new” Hong Kong style fusion restaurant, Your personal chef, opened in Sunnybank plaza a few months ago. Now, it became a popular choice for lunch after the Sunday service. The primary reason is their lunch special. You can use a Hong Kong style fusion rice, noodle or pasta, such as my favorite dish, black pepper sauce chicken fillet spaghetti. There are around 20 different choices of meals. Most of them are just for$7.8. Moreover, you can have a Hong Kong style special drink with an extra $2. Lastly, and their atmosphere is very comfortable and fresh. I like there.

A few days ago, I opened my gallery in my photo. I found the photo I took during the 4th anniversary of 8 street. I think that is worth to blog about it. After our church service, we went to the garden city for lunch. That was great. I ordered ramen from Ikkairo ramen. Although that is a discounted $8 lunch, that was still a full-size ramen same as usual and with a small coke too. Also, the ramen was still tasted good. Lastly, there were more people than usual, but that is not too crowded, and I did not need to queue a long time for ordering. That was a happy lunch for $8

In the past, we like la casamia a lot. I got a lot of friends like their cake. My friends told their chief was in a five-star hotel in Hong Kong, so their cakes are tasting similar to those ones from those high end hotels. Unfortunately, they closed a few years ago. But I found out they are re-opened again in our Brisbane Southside. They located near Runcorn Train Station, that is still very close to us, but for some reasons, they changed their brand to Brisbane Dessert and Cake.
Two weeks ago, we went to their shop for afternoon tea. Their store is not very big, but very comfortable. Also, their cakes were great. I had a slice of Cheese Cake and Chocolate Vanilla Brulee. First of all, they looked very great, like an art piece. That sounds high end. The most important, they tasted awesome. The cheesecake is very cheesy. And I loved the Chocolate Vanilla Brulee a lot! I like that kind of sweet!
Besides of cakes, I bumped into some sisters from our Church. They recommended their coffee too. However, I already had a cup of coffee beforehand, I have not a chance to try. I must try it next times.
That is a must go cake shop!

In recent years, Yum Cha Cuisine restaurant is working hard to expand their business, they opened several branches, and like to open in the mainstream shopping malls. Moreover, a few days ago, I found they also got a branch in Hyperdome. The most important things I found is a significant discount at lunchtime every day. All dim sums are $4.80. All “Small, Medium and Large” tag dim sums are in the same price.

So we had a lot of dim sums that day.
For example, prawn dumplings, in other branches, eacd dish costs $ 6.80. Now it’s just $ 4.80.

And my favorite dish, Dough Stick Cheung Fun has an original price tag,$7.80, now is priced down to $ 4.80. So today we had six dishes of dim sum. The final bill was $33.
This price is very attractive, so if you have a chance to go shopping that mall, you can consider this restaurant as one of your lunch options.
It has not the afternoon tea session, so the restaurant closes at 3pm, and reopen at 5pm for dinner.

Two weeks ago, when we went to Garden City for our Night Shopping, we found that the HOT Star Large fried chicken which is popular Fried Chicken chain stores in Taiwan opened a new store in this shopping center, near the Daiso. In fact, they already opened a
Branch in the Sunnybank Market Square, but Market Square is the lack of parking spaces and too many people, so I am not very keen to try that store. Garden City store is in a different situation, there are a plenty of parking spaces, and there are a lot of major department stores or supermarkets, such as Myer, David Jones, Coles and Woolworths so you can eat chicken, but you can do your grocery shopping during the same trip.

I believe that Thursday, this shop should be opened for only a few days, so there are a lot of people wish to try this new store. I spent some time to wait. After I had waited for a while, finally I got my large fried chicken breast.

This is a huge chicken breast, almost the size of my face. Also, this is very tendering too. However, that cost $ 8.5. Also, I got a small tip for you about this chicken breast, On Thursday, we bought the takeaway to home, although it is very delicious, that is not sufficient. On Sunday, we bought a chicken breast again, we ate that right away, the taste was different, that tasted very very good.

Besides of chicken breast, their chicken wings are good.It cost $3.90 for three.

Of course, you think you had too much chicken; we wish to try some things differently. I tried their sweet potato chips, and they are also very crisp.

All the above things are very delicious. We had their fried chicken twice a week.

I saw a number of my friends tried the steak in Calamvale Hotel. Finally, I had a chance to have that few weeks ago with my family.
That was on Monday. In every Monday, there is a special on the Steak. There is a steak meal on special, just $14.50. You do not need to buy any drinks at all; you still can have this special. That is a good deal. On that day, a Rump Steak main course was on Speical. That is a good deal. The main course included a steak, a bowl of Salad and chips. The portion isn’t small. I do not eat beef. Thus, I do not know whether it tastes good. But my relatives ate that, their feedback is good. For myself, I ordered a chicken breast. It tasted not bad and looked good!

Besides of food, the environment is good. This restaurant looks clean and fresh too. I will recommend you to try their Steak Monday.
