When you watch City of Lights, there are not just Pizza and Chips to eat. There is a more decent place, Santos Lounge. That is a big tent located at the center of cultural forecourt, and that is the best spot to City of Lights. You can order a drink in the bar and watch the show! But I think that can cost around $20.
City of Lights will perform around dinner time. But no worries about dinning. There are some temporary food stores in Southbank, such as Woodfire Pizza, churros and chips, even chinese food. A lot of choices! I saw a lot of people bought Woodfire Pizza. That smells very good! But I already had pizza on Sunday. I could not stand for another pizza too!
I went from City of Lights 2012 which is a part of Brisbane Festival. Last year, we got City of Lights in Brisbane Festival. Maybe, that was very success last year. This year version is much bigger. Laser, Music, Flash Lights and Water Cannon makes the scene of Laser Dancing. That is very very great show! I highly recommend this show.
Until 28 Sept, this show will preform in Southbank as followings:
Sunday to Thu : 7pm and 8.30pm
Fri to Sat: 7pm, 8pm and 9pm.
Please do not miss this show.
I went to city this afternoon. I saw southbank is getting ready for Brisbane Festival. They put a lot of decorations in there. Well , i am looking forward to join Brisbane Festival .
That is Brisbane Festival again, it will start on 8 September and until 29 September. Similar with last year, there are some music, laser lighting and firework. That should be fun!
Few weeks ago, we went to Jiu Wan Ban restaurant in Sunny Park for dinner. I ordered a Sweet And Sour Perch. That is very tasty. The texture of fish like silk. Moreover, that is with the hot plate, making it more tasty. I believe you will feel warm after eating that! I really love this one!

After the bus station built under King Geogre Square, there is the place for open space art exhibition. Tonight, I went there. I found there is Emergency Shelter Exhibition. A number of shelters which are designed by architects. I think they tried to design the kind of shelters is easy to built. Some are built by the oil buckets and thin wood boards. Some materials are easy to find! Moreover, I found a shelter has two solar panels at its roof. It has electrical too. That is a really “livable” house! Interesting exhibition!
Last night, I was in City around 9 pm. I saw there is a lot of King George Square. Those people were attending Winter Festival. The most of people were lining up for ice skating. I think that is because Winter Festival will end on 1/7. Thus, even that is late, they were still very keen to attending this festival.
Today is very very cold. The winter has arrived. That is also the time from Winter Festival which started from 8 June to 1 July.
I went to the place to held this festival, King George. I wish to check it out.
Firstly, I went to their major attractive, the huge skating ground! Brisbane won’t be snowing. Thus, a lot of people go to this skating ground to enjoy icy winter! But that doesn’t come with free. The entry fee is $29.
If you do not know how to skate, that won’t be boring. Besides the skating ground, there are a few cabins. They are food shops which have a lot of delicious food, such as wood fire pizza and German Sausage.
In addition, there are some free stuff. Inside Lipton Tent, there is Chai Latte giveaway! I grabbed a cup of free Chai Latte too. That is tasty and good to have this during a cold day!
Moreover, inside the tent, you can watch the people skating as well. That is so cool.
This festival has various performance, please find further details from their website. You should not miss this!
