Today is the Australia Day, which is the national day of Australia. Thus, I planned to do something related with this theme. Finally, I chose to visit Koala Center, we can see Koala, which is a unique animal in Australia!
At the end, I went to Daisy Hill Koala Centre. There are three koalas,Celeste,Faith and Elsa. I can see them from the two different level viewing boardwalks along koala enclosure. I think that was the sleeping time for them. All of them was sleeping at the tree, that is too bad. Besides of the real kolas, in the center, there are a number of informative displays about the koala’s life cycle and unique biology. That was a lesson about Koala.
That was a enjoy time. The center is very easy to access, just about 5 minutes from Exit 24 of Pacific Highway. That is the most important feature is no admission fee . The most of koala sanctuaries require an admission fee! Well, this one is an education center, there are only three koala and they do not allow visitors to to handle or pat the koalas. That is different from those koala sanctuaries. Anyway, we just want to visit Koalas and learn somethings about them, that is a right place to go!

Yesterday, I went to DFO for my Pre-Christmas Shopping. That was wonderful! A lot of shops are running 50% discount. I bought a pair of shoes from Puma. That was only $40! It is very very value for money! I had a very enjoyable shopping afternoon in there!
Last Saturday, we went to Springbrook for bush walking. That was a very nice weather!!! So, that was a joyful trip. However, due with landslides, some tracks were closed, that was a sad. Thus, I recommend if you plan to visit Srpingbrook, please check the National Park Website.
I love Kings Beach in Caloundra! That is very nice. In my impression, Surfers Paradise sounds like a shopping mall. Kings Beach is like a beach. That is the reason to love there.
In Sydney, if you want to have tasty seafood, you know the place to go is Sydney Fish Markets. For Brisbane, I suggest you can go to Morgans Seafood in RedCliffe.
Sydney Fish Markets has a lot of shops to sell fresh sea food. You can choose one you like. In there, the choices are not many. But there are some fresh fishes!
The most of important part is the oyster bar!
Last times I went to there, we ordered a dozen of pacific oysters. That is very very tasty and sweet too!
Besides of oysters, their Fish & Chips Combo is not bad too. It was only around $10.90 with a box of Fish & Chips with a bottle of drink. Although the price is not expensive, the quality was not compromised at all. The Cod Fillet was was tasty!!!
In addition, there are some outdoor seats which is very good! You are not just able to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air in there, that is next to Scarborough Boat Harbour too! You can enjoy the scenery with foods too!
I really want to go to there again!!!

I like to visit Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, because there are a lot of beautiful beaches such as Surfers Paradise and Kings Beach. Moreover, they are not very far away from Brisbane, only about one to two hours driving distance away. This is suitable for a day trip; I can save money for accommodation. However, there are a lot of people during public holidays, because there are too famous!!! I would like to have some quiet time, and that is possible in Redcliffe
Fortunately, there are many alternative getaway choices around the Brisbane area, such as my new favourite, Redcliffe. It is without a kilometers long beach, but there are some “small” beaches. Those beaches are very beautiful too! I like to walk along those beaches. In the meantime, I can enjoy the wind from the ocean and watch the blue ocean!!! That is very nice. Besides of those beaches, there are some nice coffee shops near those beaches and fresh seafood too! The most important part of Redcliffe is that it is peaceful. Redcliffe is not too busy. I can have some quiet time in there!
If you have time, I suggest you to visit that. That is about 1.5 hours driving time to there from Brisbane. That is not very far
Last weekend, I went to our Church Camp at QCCC Tambourine. That is a very very great camp site. We lived in the house above. Every room has its own toilet and showers. We did not need to walk outside from the room in the cold weather.
There is a huge grass area. You can run around in there and play some ball games.
Moreover, A lookout is nearby too, only 5-minute-walk. The view is amazing! Lastly, this is a chance to have some fresh air outside of my busy life. I had some time to rest during last weekend.
P.S. the best way to go there from Brisbane is using Pacific Highway and exit at the Oxenford / Sanctuary Cove exit (exit 57). Then follow the signs to Tamborine Mountain via Tamborine Oxenford Road. The route is the easiest to drive.

Mount Tamborine has a number of bush walking tracks. I believe Cedar Creek Fall Track is the easiest one. All path are paved concrete. That is very very easy to access. That is not oblique at all. Included returned time, the whole track can be completed within an hour. That is very suitable for your whole family.
Moreover, at the end of this track, there is a small fall and a water pool. That looks cool! The scenery can make you enjoyable for a while.
If you bring your family to visit Mount Tamborine, you can drive to Cedar Creek Fall and have a enjoyable walk in there.
If you go to Gold Coast, I will suggest to visit Mount Tamborine. That is because this area have various activities in there, such as tree top walk, wine tasting, bush walking and shopping too, but the most of them need some entry fee. Few weeks ago, we went to Mont Tamborine and do some free activities. For example, we chose to spend our afternoon in the Gallery Walk at Mount Tamborine.
There are some art shops. They sold handcraft art, paintings and artist style homeware too! There are a lot of places to shop. Moreover, there are some coffee shops and a tasty organic ice cream shop which is I highly recommended. Well, we had a lunch in there, that is not too bad, but that is a bit expensive.
In addition, there is an landmark shop in there. That is German Clock House. It got a fancy out-fit, looks a woody house! That is not just that. Inside this shop, there are a lot of “Grandfather” style mechanical clocks. I don’t think you can find this kind of things very easily elsewhere. Besides, they sold European style goods. That is quite interesting.
I believe you can spend a whole afternoon in there.
