This Friday(03/09/2016),  Brisbane Festival will begin. This festival will be a month long, end on 24/9. There will be a number of theater and music programs across  Brisbane for this festival. For the detailed schedules, please check out their website.

However, the key note event will be in Culture Forecourt in south bank. The forecourt will be transformed a place calls “ARCADIA”.  In there,two giant tents,‘Magic Mirrors’ and ‘Aurora’, is setup. Inside, there will be music, cabaret and comedy talent performance during the day and night.

Also, at Arcadia, there will be a giant 3D street art which is a 3D wall and floor illusion.

The most attractive event will be sunsuper riverfire on 24/9 7pm at the southbank. Also, before the fireworks, there will be some air shows from Air force!/

I think you should not miss out this event!

Yesterday, I went to Harbour Town in Gold Coast for shopping. I found there are a lot of stores are on sales, such as $5 T-Shirt in Cotton-on and Extra 25% off for VIP member in Sheridan. The most attractive discount was in Adidas. That was 50% off storewide! I bought a pair of sport shoes for $49! What’s a bargain! Moreover, I bought a t-shirt for running for $14, that was a good deal too.

According what I saw in the store,  there were no information about how long this 50% off offer lasts. But I found a lot of goods were out of stocks and some items had stocks, but I did not find my size. Moreover, there was a long queue in front of cashier. I spent more than 30 minutes in the queue. So, if you want to check this 50% off offer, please consider these!

Tomorrow, 27/8, Sunnybank Plaza will have a one day sale event. A lot of shops in Sunnybank will have some special offers, such as Buy a standard coffee get one free offer in Shingle Inn and $9.90 Fish & Chips with a can of soft drink in Sunni Cafe. Also, during the day, there will be some snap special offers. These will only last for 10 minutes at the scheduled time. At 12:30 noon, Chatime will have buy one get one free offer on their drinks.

I remember last year, Sunnybank Plaza had that sort of one day sale event. I was in there too, that wasn’t too bad at all. The only things I felt bad about was spending too much on the queue of getting  that  buy one get one free offer in Chatime.  Thus, if you have some free time, that is worth to have a look. Thor 3 is filming in Village Roadshow Studios, Gold Coast.  Also, this week, the film crew drove up to Brisbane CBD to take some film shots. The site is near Mary and Margret Street. This afternoon, I and my wife was in City for an appointment. Thus, we took this opportunity to go this site. We did not see any super stars, such as Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston. We saw the crowd of fans at the street and some film crew members were working for film preparation.  I thought that would be a long wait for the stars coming.  Also, the crew members were very nice, I saw them gave a number of bottled waters to the crowd. At the end, we spent five minutes in there, then we went home. If you want to see them to film the movie, I think that is still possible, I checked the Mains Road website, there will be some road closures for this film until 31 August.

From tomorrow to 15/8, EKKA will be held in RNA showground. This is the largest agriculture show in queensland. Thus,  there are a number of corp and animals!

Besides of these, that sounds like carnival. It got some rides and some live performances at night!

Another signature item of EKKA is  showbag which is a bag contains commercial merchandise. These merchandise will have much higher value than the price tag of a showbag.

Last Friday, I got a letter about Australian Census. Next Tuesday(9th August, 2016)  is the census night. Every one in Australia, included oversea students, visitors,  residents, is required to fill in the census information. If you do not do that, you will receive a fine.  This year,  you can fill the census form online via this website at the census night, you should already receive a letter from Australian Bureau of Statistic. There is a PIN and you need to enter the PIN to the website, then you can do the census form. If you do not want to do that online please call 1300 820 275 for requesting a paper form.
